Connect \ journey group

Once you have decided to follow Jesus for a while, you realize that it’s not an easy thing to do. There are reasons why it is helpful to have people close to you who can encourage and challenge you in your spiritual journey. The church has often referred to these relationships as discipleship relationships. Our Sunday Morning Worship Gatherings nor our home groups provide the intimacy that some people desire, look for, or need in their becoming more like Jesus.

To help meet this need, we have what we call journey groups. A journey group is a group of 3 or 4 people who commit to one another for a specific period of time. They commit to praying for one another, sharing struggles, challenging one another, and reminding one another of the grace that God offers them in their lives.

Purpose for our journey groups:
Journey groups are an intentional effort to foster organic relationships where we challenge and encourage one another to grow as learners of God’s story and our place in it, lovers of God and his creation, and givers of all that we’ve been given.

We don’t expect you to know what these mean… they are simply here to remind us of our purpose within our journey groups.

** We also realize that not everyone will want to jump into a group like this from the beginning, and we encourage you to involve yourself as you feel the need.
